Kate

This woman's work impacted on my life in 1976, when I first heard "Wuthering Heights" on the

radio and was captivated by the sheer beauty, power and freshness of her voice. Never before

had a female artist sung with such conviction, and originality that I couldn't help but be overwhelmed

and excited at the prospect of listening to more of her work. Becoming captivated by her music,

gave me my first opportunity in realising that individuality, imagination and fantasy were paramount

to our personal growth and development as individual beings.

Over the years I have purchased every album released, immediately it became available, such is the

impact on my life and musical senses from her beauty, her voice, which is sweet music to my ears, and

her incredible imagination, which is truly evident in both her songwriting skills, and musical repertoire.

Kate Bush tells a story, relates a concept to her many fans like no-one has done before her. She

has a way of stimulating our thought processes, encouraging our creative minds to create an aware-

ness of everyday life, as well as current issues, so that we may become more aware of that which we

may never have previously known, or experienced, and it is this artistic and creative process that is the

beauty and the power of art and music, a most splendid combination.

Since becoming a regular user of the Internet, I regularly read the "gaffa" newsgroups for any

information on upcoming new releases, especially an album, which rumor has it, may be a very new

direction for Kate, another "concept" album, much like Hounds of Love, but in a more electronica

vein. If any true Kate Bush fan can tell me anything different, I will be more than happy for them to
